NORTHSTAR OPENING TWO NEW PLANTS

Having experienced high international demand for its RIBs, Northstar will be opening two new plants very near its current location in Izmir, Turkey, bringing its total indoor plant area to 11.000 sq.m. (121.000 sq. ft) with a targeted output of 1800 RIBs per year. It is planned that the first of the new buildings will be manufacturing Northstar’s popular AXIS tender line and the soon to be introduced VEGA series, hence the plant will be called AXIS VEGA Plant. The second new plant will be housing Northstar’s Special Projects Unit which is active in the manufacturing of the brand’s military, search and rescue and professional RIBs. Northstar’s current plant, which is the third plant, will be converted to manufacture the larger RIB series including the hugely popular ORION series and the High Performance ION series. All plants are receiving the latest technology manufacturing equipment including new cutting robots as well as improvements in the workspace environment. Reorganization will be completed in the last quarter of the year and all buildings will start turning out RIBs within 2022.
